About Greenwind Communications

You already know your work transforms your lives.

And yet, when it comes to marketing yourself, something just doesn’t feel right.

Not because you lack skill—but because your message hasn’t fully landed in your body yet.

The problem is that most marketing systems weren’t built to hold nuance, energy, or embodied wisdom.

Here, strategy meets energetic truth.

We translate depth into language—so the right people recognize you without you having to convince them.

My Story

Before I became a marketing writer and coach, I was an exploration geologist—traveling to remote, seldom-visited places around the world, gave me deep connection with the Earth. Those years shaped everything that came after. Being so close to the land gave me a profound respect for natural systems, sustainability, and the quiet intelligence beneath the surface—of both the planet and people.

The turning point came during a talk on Buddhist Economics at the John Molson School of Business in Montréal. The philosophy was simple and radical: take only what you need, do no harm, and leave the world better than you found it. I felt the truth of it immediately. A new a vocation was calling.

In 2014, I launched my writing business to bring those values into marketing writing. Today, I blend Human Design, storytelling, and strategy to help holistic practitioners and energy healers articulate the depth of their work. Together, we create messaging and marketing strategy that builds trust, honors your integrity, and allows you to be visible in true alignment—without forcing, posturing, or burnout.

Personal stuff

Born and raised in British Columbia, I followed my heart—and put down deep roots in Montréal, Québec. So deep, in fact, that even my mother eventually came to live with me. It’s my soul city—the place where ‘I breath’ and feel alive.

At home, I’m outnumbered by personalities. I share my life with a very high-maintenance cat who receives a non-negotiable daily 10-minute massage, and my mother’s Frenchie, Ellie—small body, big energy, big love.

My husband and I are committed EV owners (yes, even the shovel and lawnmower are electric). Sustainability isn’t a trend for me; it’s a practice. I recycle obsessively, compost religiously, eat increasingly plant-based, buy local, grow organic food, live near the metro, and reserve air travel for love and meaningful work only. I do my best to leave the lightest footprint I can.

Community matters. They say it take a village to raise a child, and I’m part of a village that shows up—rotating care to support a single mom and her son, Harvey. Because no one is meant to do life alone.

I’m also an oral storyteller with the Montréal Storytellers Guild, a writer of creative fiction, and a lifelong student who’s collected more certificates and degrees than I care to count. Curiosity, story, and care—for people and planet—shape everything I do.

How I work

What You Can Count on Me Fo

  • Clarity that feels grounded

  • I help you move from mental spinning to felt knowing—so your message feels stable in your body, visible and heard to those you are meant to serve

  • Language that honours the depth of your work

  • Your work is nuanced, intuitive, and powerful. I translate that depth into clear, human language without flattening or over-simplifying it.

  • Marketing that aligns with how you’re designed to lead

  • Using Human Design as a strategic lens, I help you communicate in ways that are sustainable for your energy—not borrowed strategies.

  • Consistency you can lean on

  • Clear timelines. Honest communication. Work delivered with care and integrity.

  • A collaborative, attuned partnership

  • I don’t impose a voice or formula. I listen deeply, reflect what’s true, and help you articulate it with confidence.

“The outcome of our collaborative efforts with her gave us an improved social media presence with fresh material.”

“We had several social media accounts, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. But we were barely posting anything. There was this feeling of frustration, even though it seemed like it was an easy thing to do. The social media posting always fell to the bottom of the list of all the things I had to deal with. Bringing Melanie on board to help with the social media posting was a good decision for us. She came up with many new and interesting ideas for social media posts targeting our audience. We appreciated Melanie’s organization and clear communication of ideas in the content calendar; having all information in one place was also good. The outcome of our collaborative efforts with her gave us an improved social media presence with fresh material. I recommend Melanie and plan to work with her again on future projects.”
